Guilds are semi-formal organizations dedicated to preserving and portraying history.

They do this across a number of events and venues. They are the backbone of "community style" Renaissance Fayres.

Most Guilds are run as hobbies and special interests, and because the members enjoy being part of an inclusive and fun loving community that loves history.
 

Their membership tends to be driven by deep interest, rather than commercial gain. Guild members typically have day jobs.

Guilds may or may not have formal paperwork or website associated with them. However, they all have interesting and immersive camp displays, costuming, a love of history, and a desire to display it to the public.
